Princess Amalia Wind Farm in the spotlight again

The offshore Princess Amalia Wind Farm has received another award. The international magazine Environmental Finance ranked Princess Amalia Wind Farm second in the category - Renewable Energy Project Financing of the Year. The prize was awarded during the 2007 Environmental Finance Awards.

Princess Amalia Wind Farm was named the runner-up as a result of the unique way in which the offshore wind farm was financed. The Rabobank provided capital during the construction phase while simultaneously bearing the risk for aspects such as cost overruns and delays.

This is not the first time that Princess Amalia Wind Farm has been singled out because of its unique financing model. In March this year, Princess Amalia Wind Farm received the Deal of the Year Award, an initiative of Euromoney in collaboration with Project Finance Magazine.
