Health & Security policy
A project of this magnitude can only be materialised in an international environment by a team resourced from a number of different companies from a number of different countries, all having different knowledge, attitudes, behaviours and cultures. During the implementation of Q7 there is no aspect of its execution that has greater importance to its successful outcome than the proper management of health, safety, security and environmental issues. That’s why the Q7 participants all agreed upon a high standard HSSS policy statement. This HSSE policy provides the frame work for design, the development of working procedures, and not least for the fundamental way of thinking in the every day work. The HSSE policy has the following objectives:
- No harm to people
- No damage to the environment
- No damage to assets or property
- No security breaches
Although the formal responsibility for execution of this HSSE Policy clearly rests with the Project Direction, from every individual is expected wholehearted support and commitment of this statement and its implementation. In practice it means that:
Compliance with laws
The Project will comply with health, safety and environmental legislation requirements as the minimum standard, namely Dutch Law & European Law.
High standards
The Project will pursue the high standards of health, safety and environmental management as an integral part of efficient management of project activities, ensuring that strategic, business or operational decisions take proper account of health, safety, security and working environmental requirements, namely the following of best industry guidance, BWEA Guidelines.
Risk mitigation
The Project will assess all hazards and mitigating actions will be implemented to reduce risks as far as is reasonably practicable, and record these risks in a comprehensive risk inventory & evaluation schedule.
